Arizona Grand Resort & Spa Staycation
You may have noticed, Leo and I are suckers for stay-cations. We weren't able to escape the heat this summer, so we were super excited to check out The Scott's sister hotel, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. The best part about this resort is they have a freaking waterpark! This is the perfect desert oasis getaway, especially if you have kids. You are really able to get that "home away from home" experience!
We can't wait to show you around!
Newly renovated Guest Suites
We stayed in one of Arizona Grand's newly renovated guest suites. It had the comfiest King bed, a private patio, and a separate living room with a queen sofa bed. A comfy bed is super important to us when staying someplace other than home.
First off, the grounds are crazy huge! We enjoyed walking around and exploring. I lost count of how many great photo op spots they had. It is full of culture with old Spanish tiles, fountains, palm trees, and beautiful greenery. I felt like we were in Mexico. The buildings felt like they had a lot of history but the rooms were nicely updated.
THE OASIS WATER PARK
Now onto the fun!
We couldn't wait to visit the Oasis water park and we were thrilled to find that our room was just steps away from the park.
It made me think back to being a kid on vacation with my family. We always begged our parents to pick a hotel that had a pool. It was a plus if it had a water park, but we were just peachy if there was a pool! We would get up super early and head down to the pool the moment it opened. I still have that same love for swimming and sunshine!
We were so glad we had our own private cabana. We were stocked with fresh fruit and water, and they even had an air cooler. With it being monsoon season, it was extra humid that day, so it was nice to have the air cooler when we weren't in the water.
Who doesn't love a lazy river?
They even had a wave pool!
The best part...The water slides!
Who doesn't love a good water slide? Well, we had finally decided to go down and it started raining. We didn't mind at first because it felt super refreshing. It was kind of fun going down the slides in the rain. Well, we kind of had a turn of events. Ha. Remember how I mentioned it was monsoon season? Shortly after the fun, we just so happened to get stuck in a crazy monsoon. It really started pouring, the wind picked up, and the dust started to roll in. Unfortunately, we had to evacuate the water park due to the storm bringing lightning. This was completely out of anyone's control and management handled it like champs.
They even offered us passes to come back on a not so stormy day.
Oh, we will be back! ;)
Thank you Arizona Grand Resort & Spa for having us! We can't wait to visit again!
If any of you are looking for a great resort with some water park fun, book your stay today!
